    Vlad's Little Workshop

Post  Celdwyn Kirkland on April 16th 2012, 6:11 pm

Vlad was rushing back and forth from his room and his little workshop, taking parts, tools, and other items in and out of both rooms. He was building two things, a new left eye, and a mechanical arm-like brace that will increase a person’s arm strength to god-like levels. His eye had a few modifications of their own as seeing though walls, able to scan people to match them with criminal records and such, and 20x zoom so he could be a perfect spy. The arm was a prototype for a suit of armor he was working on to make anyone have the strength equal to a god...yet he might lower the strength to a bit over the human limit, just in case of an accident with the armor.

The noise coming from the workshop aroused the attention of one of the Soviet family dogs.

Durzhok and Shalunya were gentle enough around the Baltics and the Braginskies to be considered 'family pets,' yet due to their naturally aggressive, territorial personalities, they served as exellent guard dogs.

The massive brute-dog Durzhok padded stiff-leggedly toward where the noise was coming from, growling softly as he did so. His drooping ears were erect and his feathery tail raised, preparing himself for any threat that might come up when ---

He halted as he reconized both the familiar sent and figure of the youngest of the Braginskies. Durzhok's ears lowered as a more playful expression crossed over his fuzzy features. His tail began to sway as he padded toward the workshop, following the boy like he usually did. The large brute plopped his backside down next to the working stool and waited patiently for the boy to return. He let out a low whine, making sure his presence was notices.

Vlad returned to the workshop with the last box of supplies. He looked to the side of the box, seeing the large dog waiting for his return. Vlad knelt down to the dog, petting it softly before hugging it lightly "Privet Durzhok." Vlad smiled letting go of the dog to get to work. He went to his clothing rack where he had a pair of gloves, a helmet, gas mask, goggles, and a few other assorted items hanging from it. Taking the helmet, gloves, and the goggles, the latter would be used when he begins welding the components to the exoskeleton.

Vlad picked out a few metal rods, a metal plate, bolts, and his favorite drill and wrench and began to work on the frame for the exo-arm. He had the components that would become part of the arm on the desk. He looked back and forth between his components and the blueprints he wrote down.

He had headphones on his neck that was lightly playing an English song in Russian song. He began to sing along in English.

Dear brother, just don't hate me. For never standing by you, or being by your side.
Dear sister, please don't blame me. I only did what I thought was truly right.
It's a long and lonely road, when you know you walk alone.

Dress shoes tapped lightly against the fine flooring of Vlad's workshop. Vladimir had not been expecting a visit from his older brother, Viktor, but said brother figured it was a good day to visit his younger sibling. Only his eyes and nose were visible as he approached the room Vlad was sitting in, as he had been hiding behind his scarf from the winter-chill outside. He slowly began to unwrap it from his head and held it gently within his hand as he entered the shop. His soulless eyes seemed to come to life as the sparks from the drill glimmered within his amethyst hues. He stared with interest at his brother, tilting his head just slightly when he realized an arm was being created.

After a moment or two, he stepped further into the room and came to be standing next to the smaller boy, hoping he would not startle his younger sibling. "Privet, Vladimir." He said in a gentle tone, eyes lifting to rest on his brother's face. "Ai hope you don't mind me visiting. Ai had not'ing else to do and was t'inking of you." And without hesitation, he leaned over and placed a small kiss to Vladimir's temple. It was not unusual for Russian's to greet one another in such a way, especially those who were family. However, it did seem odd for someone like Viktor to be showing affection.

It didn't seem to be in his nature.

Vlad smiled a bit, seeing that his brother came to visit his workshop. " Et's fine Bot'er, in fact..." He looked down at the already half finished exo-arm, "I was wondering if you wanted to test this." He smiled a bit, bolting the joints down with his drill. He was a very fast worker when it came with his prototype projects, as it only took his about ten minutes to be half-way done with it. He went to his shelf, grabbing his welder, two welding helmets and a dog sized welding helmet.

"You should wear this." Vlad smiled handing his brother one of the welding masks.

Viktor was incapable of showing any sort of emotion; however, his eyes seemed to convey happiness towards his younger brother. "Ai would be more t'an happy to." He answered as his brother turned to retrieve a welding mask for him. He extended his arm and took it, examining it a moment before sliding it onto his head and pushing it down to cover his face. His face was no secure, shielded by the mask.

"Ai hope t'is does not make me look ridiculous." He mumbled behind the mask in a dull tone. However, that was actually humor coming from Viktor. It was the closest he was going to get at making a joke.
