    Sunflowers (Open to All)

Post  Guest on June 9th 2012, 2:47 pm

So I made this thing for Ivan's birthday which is closing in to be on the 22, so think of this as a gift. To be honest, I actually had this in mind when I first started watching Hetalia. How would Russia react if he had a party? Would he be upset? Surprised? Shocked? Happy..? Well hopefully my curiosity is fulfilled.

The day was strangely still outside of the manor. Inside on the other hand, was exactly the opposite. Though only a minimum of a few three to four people were inside, the house was busy in preparation for a party. Alek was inside the large dining room setting up for the enormous feast they were to have for his Father's upcoming birthday. The other person helping him was the daughter of Cuba, Camila. She didn't talk much while she helped set up the vases of sunflowers on the table, because she was too into the music and in her work. Her only motions of speaking were "Mmhm" or short grunts as if to say: 'I'm on it.'
Almost everything seemed to be in place of this area, his siblings on the other hand- He had no idea. Hopefully his sister would be in charge of one of the larger rooms, she having more of an interior design factor than he did. His brothers? His mind was on blank for them. He and Camila both moved within the vast hallways and began decorating there with even more sunflowers.
"To the far right, Cami." He yelled loud enough for her to hear through the loud salsa music. "Mmm!" She exclaimed moving her small ladder towards the direction he directed her to. Most of the vodka he had gotten ahold of was imported from the Ukraine and the sunflowers he had gotten a holdn of a German boy named Alphonse who gladly gave up spares which were a little over a hundred.
He hoped his father would appreciate the effort.

The Russian daughter was quite eager about the party they were going to throw for their beloved father. She was in the dining room, decorating it. She did her best to add a classy air to the room for she considered that to be more appropriate for him as a country personification. If anyone wanted to join the party, they needed to be formally dressed!
The children and father would have a private party later; a simple family get together with cake and vodka.
Dominika took a step back to admire her work. "Hmm-ing" lightly, she tilted her head a bit to the side as her amethyst eyes scanned the whole area. "Perfect", she chanted, her lips curving upwards, smirking in approval.

Alek looked towards his sister and smiled looking around nodding in approval at her work. This would be the only day out of the other 364 days that they would not fight or bicker at each other. Hopefully.
"It looks good, da?" He asked quietly his features warming up.
Camila was humming along to her song brushing off her dark jeans and pulling her thick curls into a braid. "Well," She began smoothly. "Are we done here?" She tilted her head curiously at him. Alek look towards Dominika and asked: "Should we work on de living room?"

Vladimir, the youngest of the Russian children, was working in his workshop on a surprise for his father. He was sitting at his desk, trying to match the pieces he needed with what he drew up. He had some bandages on his hands from a few accidents working on projects and a new eye-patch over his left eye since his last one was cut by a little accident with a blade flower he made. "Ah...Good...So far so good..." He smiled as he pieced together a small mechanical version of his father holding a sunflower. He began to bolt together the pieces hoping not to screw up on the putting it together.

As the children worked on preparing a party for their beloved father, Ivana decided on to check how the preparations were going. She went down to the party room and smiled at how the room was being decorated with the one thing Ivan and herself loved more than vodka... sunflowers.

"Privet children. Ai don't suppose you need help distracting Ivan for a while until the party is finished, da?"

Ivana went up to one of the sunflowers and touched one of it's delicate yellow petals before smiling again. She knew Ivan would enjoy being surrounded by the warmth of sunflowers and the love of his family on his birthday.
