This roleplay will be focused on reflections and shadows. Your reflection is you're good side, your shadow is the bad. These two are not the typical good and bad. That's just what realm they come from. Now, as for which one you can be, there's a simple rule to this, you can only have ONE of then. For every normal character that you play, you get a pick of which on you want with it. Yes, this means you will be playing two people. The whole point is, that the reflections(Shiners) and shadows(Shades) want to come to the Earth realm. They will try and possess the mind of the character you play. Sometimes they take over and kill the soul and take the body for themselves. If they're strong enough and so is the human(normal) then they will simply be extracted from the normal and gain their own body. Here's the main thing, they have to look like you in some way(not real life look but you know what I mean- Look like the Normal in some way) They can have horns like in with demon Alfred as an example, but that's if you want them to. Above everything though, there has to be something on the Normal AND the Shiner/Shade to show that they are Connected. This can be a chain, a tattoo that's the same and in the same spot or what not. But there has to be SOMETHING. If there is a chain, it is up to you whether than chain can be severed or not(meaning if they're stuck together or not).

Now for the PLOT!: Honestly people I'm shit with plots. I'm used to roleplaying with someone who's only thought is to make the characters have sex and fall in love as soon as possible. I don't want that lol. Basically so far the plot is that the Shiners and the Shades are in a vendetta. They want all out war, but the only way they've been able to reach that war is in the minds of their human side. They have recently discovered how to take over and bring their war into the Earth realm. They HATE humans no matter which side it is and for their war they of course hate each other(again people this is a general description so if you don't want yours to be a hater, then don't. This is just the broad generalization). The Shiners and Shades hate each other yes, but they feel they are above humans in every way(think of Loki mind set) The point is to find the way to put them back into their own realms. Humans CANNOT survive in the Shadow Realm. They will either be consumed by darkness, or just die lol. They CAN survive in the Reflective Realm, only thing is, I ask that it has some kind of effect on them. I am leaving this up to you, so have fun with it. I'm not trying to restrict anything with these guidelines and such, but I kinda need them to make sure it's explained well and doesn't go off into a tangent. Also, your Shade/Shiner does NOT have to share the same gender as you!!! You can change that! And if you find it better, I do, to change the name of the Shade/Shiner to make it easier to determine who is talking, please do so!

Who is welcomed for this? EVERYONE!!! I don't care who joins and yes, say this is Annie who wants to join(please do I love you) She can have 8 characters to play. She has the two OCs and the Canon and then a gender bender, each of these characters comes with a Shade/Shiner to play. So you have have a lot of people to play. I've seen this already and it really helps me so if you're going to do more than one of your characters I don't mind, but just put a picture of the character it is. If it's both in the same post, great! That's awesome! If the characters are in different places and different situations and are NOT talking to each other, make some kind of separation. Either with colors, the line break, or even put a pic of the character you're shifting to thank you guys! Please have fun with this! I'm hoping it turns out really well.

Soft wind blew through the window, making the white curtains fly up in her room. She sat at the desk, staring at her reflection in the mirror. She slowly let the brush fall back down from her strawberry blonde hair. Her green eyes stared into the face of herself and she smiled at herself. Lately she had been sickly looking, having bad migraines, forcing her to stay inside and away from the sun. She looked behind her and closed her eyes, smiling as the wind brushed her hair back off her shoulders and neck. Turning back around to the mirror she froze as in her reflection there was something...dark, crawling its hands up her arms. Shaking she watched scared then stood and pushed at it.

Finding nothing there she shook scared and looked back to the mirror, nothing there. Shaking her head she grabbed her hat and took off down the hall and out of the door. She was staying with her father recently, Alfred F. Jones, so as she walked out of the house, she found a big city. She smiled at it, all the neon lights making her light up with excitement. "This place it amazing!" She laughed and ran down the streets in her jeans and boots, her white cowgirl hat on her head, and her yellow, button up shirt on her torso. She looked up and around everywhere, taking in all the sights. She hardly got to visit her father in the cities, and when she did, she was always amazed with everything she saw.

As she walked down the streets of New York she took in the sights, waiting for her father to get out of the meetings from that morning. As she was walking through Central Park though, her headaches came back and she groaned in pain, barely making it to a bench before she collapsed onto it. Panting she began feel like something just wasn't right. She pulled herself up and gripped the edge of the bench, trying to pull herself up.

When she glanced up to see where she was going she almost screamed at the dark hand covering her own. It wasn't human, there was no way! Screaming she yanked her hand away from it only to have the black mass follow her hand. She pushed at it with her other hand and found another black hand mass just like the other. She screamed again, trying to fight at the black shadow that was trying to consume her. Finally she stood and decided to run away. When she hit a patch of sun though, it vanished. Shaking in disbelief she shook off her shock and walked back to her meeting place for her father.

Looking down at her phone she sighed, thirty minutes left. She shook lightly and rubbed her sleeved arms. What was going on? Looking around she felt slightly awkward standing beside the business building so she moved over to the side, closer to being in the shadows and out of sight. Looking down at her feet she began to hum to try and pass the time, but it wasn't going by fast enough and her thoughts kept changing to those black hands that had been on her. Sighing she looked up and groaned. Fifteen minutes left and her stomach was growling. She looked over her left shoulder and licked at her lips when she saw the hot dog stand. She turned and started to move over to it when she tripped and fell against the wall.

Screaming in surprise she looked down to see what she'd tripped on, only to look down and see those two black hands attached to arms, gripping at her legs and pulling itself out of her shadow. Screaming she tried to push it off but it was already half way up her legs and now there was a head coming from the ground as well. "SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!" She screamed and tried to run but her legs were stuck in the shadow. Her thoughts changed in that instant as she stared horrified at the shadow-black thing coming up at her.

Danni's green eyes rolled back in her head and she fell then. She fell onto the sidewalk by the alley, by the meeting building of her father's. She began to think of all the blackouts she'd been having and all the things that people had said that she'd been doing... but she couldn't recall doing them. There were even pictures and she wasn't able to remember when they were taken or why she had been there. Moaning when her father came out after the meeting, she was close to waking, but also very weak.

Beside the Kansas girl on the New York side walk was a girl that looked remarkably like her. Her hair was a dark maroon and her skin was a soft olive, contrasting to the Kansas girls' strawberry blonde and somewhere in between peach and tan skin. Her clothes were the same as Danni's only she wore a black shirt, and no hat. On the top of the other girl's head were two distinct black horns, small and barely noticeable, but still there nonetheless. Looking down it could be seen that the two girls were locked together by a single red line tied around Danni's left index finger, and the other girl's right index.

Slowly Danni's eyes opened, the soft green peeking around to look at what had happened. As she looked at the other girl that looked almost like an inverse of herself, she saw the birthmark that looked remarkably like a sunflower on the girl's neck-right side. Slowly she reached up and touched her own birthmark on her own right side. Looking up she saw her father looking around and she tried to call out for him but his name wouldn't leave her lips. Alfred.... She groaned and pushed herself, the string feeling like it was tons of pounds weighing her down. "Papa! I'm over here!" She called to him as the other girl began to wake.

The other Danni's eyes fluttered open and her face twisted into an evil, wicked grin. She stood without a problem and put her arm around Danni's shoulders. "Hey Pops...how's it hanging?" She grinned, dark and sinister, her emerald eyes staring at Alfred with malice intent. Just then she turned to Danni and pitched a demonic laugh, "What's the matter with you? Where are your manners? Why haven't you welcomed me to Earth yet?" She growled in her ear.

Danni froze looking at her father and the other nations that were leaving the building after her father. She wondered if any of them were noticing this strange thing that was happening.

Unfortunately, Danni D. Jones was not the only one who was suffering from the strange new "clone phenomenon". Like his sister, the Midwestern Heartland state had also been feeling dull for the past few days, and although he hadn't felt quite as ill as his sister, he too had observed a certain shadow following him around. It seemed as though it was dragging him down and draining the very life out of the boy, but he didn't truly pay attention to its odd side effects until he woke up on the morning of his father's meeting. He didn't want to alarm anyone or keep his father from work, so he had played off his sickness as a minor issue, stating that he just needed a bit of rest. Nothing could have been farther from the truth.

Alex was pale. Paler than any living boy, sick or not, should ever have been. His whole body was numb and chilled with cold, yet he had no strength to even shiver in an attempt to raise his body feet. It was as though the boy had become ice himself, barely able to move. When he neglected to appear downstairs for breakfast that morning, as he always did without question, his father had come to investigate, as any parent would. But the state had refused his father's offer for help and simply acted as though a little nap would solve all of his problems. But the longer he lied stiff, the worse things got. His vision began fading in and out, his head throbbed as if it was being hammered upon, his heart pounded in his chest at an alarming rate, and even then, he was completely immobile.

A miserable groan escaped the young man's lips as he stared blindly up at the ceiling. Suddenly, something began to take form out of the shadows, and what a horrific figure it was. At first it appeared as nothing more than a reflection of Alex himself on the ceiling. Then, new features formed: sanguine hair, a set of dragon-like wings and a barbed tail to match in color, sharp fangs, pointed ears and longer nails, a pair of reddish brown horns, and worst of all, the eyes. Lined with thick black coloring, the demonic shadow figure possessed a twisted model of the state's eyes. The soft sapphire color of the Ohioan's eyes had become a sharp tone identical to that of the most freezing ice. There was no care, no kindness, no love in the creatures eyes. Only a cold and cruel existence could be taken from its mesmerizing stare. It was connected to Alex by a set of black chains that wrapped around its wings and attached to a color on its neck. The boy found that he had recently received these chains on his own body as well, clamped by another collar to his neck. The whole was so unreal, he wasn't sure how to process it all. Every time his mouth opened to speak, nothing came out. He had no knowledge of dealing with demons. There was nothing he could do.

The shade was just as stunned as his human counterpart. He hadn't expected the bonds that were holding him to the Ohioan as a spirit would shatter all of a sudden. He interpreted it as a sign - a sign that a time for war was nearing. The thought brought a devilish grin to his face, his reptilian tail twitching in excitement. For far too long, he had been attached this boy, floating above him while being dragged around like a mere toy. It was a degrading and nullifying experience. But now he was free. He could do what he wanted whether it was playing nasty tricks on the humans, taking down a few Shiners, tormenting Normals, or even picking up a few ladies for the fun of it.

After a short while, the demonic shadow's train of thought was broken by the coughing of his Normal. With a diabolical smirk, the being swooped down and pinned the frightened young state to his bed. It hissed in his face with a voice greatly imitating that of a snakes and irises that were equally as devilish.

"Well, well, well~ How the tides have turned, aye Alex~?" He snickered darkly. "I've spent far too long being dragged around by your pathetic existence. It's about time I took my prize.." The shade dragged a sharp nail down the Ohioan's chest. It must have known well that the slightest increase in pressure would puncture the human's delicate skin, considering how precise his action was. "That body of yours will suit me just fine for the time being."

To Alex's horror, his evil counterpart had slid its hand through his chest like it was mere jello. Soon, the rest of its form followed, beginning a desperate struggle for dominance over one another's minds. However, this was one battle that the state was destined to lose. He was soft, too loving and too faithful for his own good. He believed in too much and had a hard time giving up. But when pit against an entity of his own mind, the darker powers outweighed the light. The Ohioan's irises took on the same frozen stare as the shade's, his body tone and values morphing consecutively afterward. The young man who removed himself from bed may have looked human, but he was no longer Alex A. Jones.

Lucas M. Jones was a shade with killer intentions. A sinner by all means. He sifted through the clothes that belonged to his host and picked out something more his style: a pair of dark skinny jeans with various rips and tears, a fitting dark red and black t-shirt with horizontal stripes, a short sleeveless black vest, and the rattiest pair of dark grey sneakers he could find. Looking in the mirror, he hissed at his facial appearance. Glasses were far overrated for a shade! He tossed Alex's glasses off and across the bedroom, making his way downstairs to explore. The door caught his eye instantly, drawing him to the bustling city beyond.

When his stroll led him to the same location as Danni and her father, Alfred F. Jones, the pair were in for quite the surprise. He may have looked somewhat like Alex, but Lucas was no sibling nor child to either of the two.

(Sorry for the shitty quality...It messed up the first time and I didn't have the right file to fix it :/)

Danni's green eyes were staring over at the other woman draped over her shoulders. She was frozen in place, unable to move, her body rigid and unresponsive. She wanted more than anything to shove her off but when the other turned to her and grinned she felt like she had died. All her sickness, all her illness this past week or so, it was making sense ever since this thing had come out of the shadows in the ground. Her head slowly craned back when she heard footsteps and she saw her brother. She thought with relief about her brother being there and hoped that he would be able to help her but when she opened her eyes from her relief she was frigid and felt like she had died.

The cold stare that met her, those eyes. The more she looked at her brother, the more she saw something wrong with him and the more things started to change. When he moved she heard the sound of chains rattling and instantly her fear was gone. For someone to mess with Danni she could take it, she would accept it and wait for someone to help her or sit there confused, but when they messed with her family, things changed. Her eyes stayed on Alex until it was a clear view in front of her. "Who the hell are you?" She snapped, shoving the other woman's arm off.

The Shade woman glared then turned and her glare easily shifted. A maniacal grin spread over her lips and her arms crossed under her chest. She gave a brilliantly white and devilish smile to the boy. "Welcome..." was all the other said and Danni's glare grew more severe. She looked back at the woman to her right now and could only imagine punching her. She turned back to her brother and the intruder in his body.

"Go home!" She snapped. "You're not welcome here." Her head lulled to the side and she gave a lazy glare at the woman, "Neither are you. Both of you go back to whatever hell it is that you came from!" Danni moved forward to walk away and shoved her shoulder hard into Alex's not caring what she did to her brother's body, just that this intruder wasn't welcomed in her life of her brothers. As she passed him their eyes met again and she stared defiantly into them, not worried about her brother, he was strong, but as she looked into these snake like eyes she was freezing inside.

Those eyes made her blood run cold and she hated it, she hated the feeling of having him affect her so much. This was her home, her Earth. She didn't want it to be run through by these freaks that climbed out of shadows. It took her a moment, until she hit the brick wall from backing up. She hadn't even known that she had been backing up from the boy until her back touched the cold bricks. She cursed under her breath and kept her eyes on the boy.

Alice's head cocked to the side with hand hand on her hip as she looked at the other boy, her eyes lazy and wanting. "Seems like the little brat has some fire....I don't like that..." Her eyes fell back to Danni's her expression hard and unforgiving, "I'll break you of that soon enough." "You won't touch me!" She almost screamed in rage at the other woman before her brother's step forward caught her ear, the sound on his step reaching it and making her head snap to the side. "You get the hell away from me!" She shouted and tried to take another step back, her foot hitting the wall. Her voice quivered and shook in her fear of those snake eyes. The last thing she wanted now was for either of them to get close enough to touch her.

A dark chuckle came from Lucas who had set his sights on the darling little Normal girl in front of him. With access to Alex's memories, he quickly identified her as his younger sister Danni. The thought of how Alex might react to his sister being harmed by his own hands brought a twisted grin to his face. The Western state was proving to be even more entertaining than he had hoped. Not only had she already figured him out, but she too possessed a Shade of her own, and a good looking one at that. Even so, he returned his attention to Danni, replying to her question in a sickly toying manner.

"Why, Danni! Don't tell me you can't even recognize your own brother~" His gaze flickered to Alice. "And who is this lovely new companion of yours? You two are so similar, I nearly couldn't tell you apart."

At the end of Lucas' short greeting, his tone became slightly sarcastic. Danni and Alice might have had similar faces, but their features were in no way indistinguishable from one another. It was blatantly obvious that Alice was a Shade and nothing more could excite the demonic boy more than another of his kind. Lucas embodied the cardinal sin of lust - a cruel match to his Normal's title as the Heartland State. And right now, he was on the hunt for new prey. With no other girls around, either Danni or Alice would have to suffice. Yet, he was quickly taking a liking to the spunky girl form Kansas. If she had enough nerve to bump into him like that, surely she would only become more angered if he began messing with her directly.

In a few swift steps, Lucas approached her, resting one arm against the cold brick above her head. He leaned down so his cold, snake-like eyes could blaze directly into her own, sending corresponding chills down her spine. His body lined up with hers, blocking her from any chance of escape. Lifting his free hand, rubbed soft circles onto one of Danni's cheeks with his thumb, modifying his voice to a dangerously seductive level.
"Oh come on. You don't really want me to go do you? I thought we were getting along quite well up until now. In fact.." A venomous grin crossed his face as he leaned down to her neck. His hand left her cheek and brushed back her hair like a delicate curtain, giving him access to the soft flesh of her ear. He brushed his lips up against it and nibbled on it gently, speaking smoothly in whispers. "I don't think I'm going to allow you to escape... I've only just discovered how truly darling you are...and I would really hate to miss out on such a perfect chance..."

"I don't think I'm going to allow you to escape... I've only just discovered how truly darling you are...and I would really hate to miss out on such a perfect chance..."

Danni was frozen in place as he spoke. His lips on her skin, his sharp teeth nibbling at her. Her face flushed and her head turned to the side to look away from him. She should be talking, screaming even. She should be screaming at him, but his lips were like soft velvet against her skin, and though he was infuriating, his dark voice was addictive. Finally Danni snapped her head back to him, her green eyes glaring into his darkly. "Don't you dare touch me." She growled and pulled an arm back to swing at him.

Her hand was clenched into a tight fist and she lunged it at him. Just before impact Danni gave a shocked scream of pain, her hand jerking back and hitting the brick wall, sending a wave of pain surging through her. "A-ah....ow..." She whimpered, one eye shut in pain as she looked with the other one at the red line streaming from her hand. It wasn't blood, but instead that red ribbon. She stared at it before letting her opened eye trace it back to the red headed woman. "What do think you're doing?" She snapped in a low growl.

Danni was always the type of girl that would never be caught fighting but these...things were bringing out the worst in her. Alice was grinning and walked up to her, her boots clapping on the cement ground below her. She rested her hands on her hips and leaned over into Danni's ear, "And what the hell gave you the illusion you could escape us?" Dannie stared up at Alice with wide, terrified eyes.

"Wh-What the hell are you talking about? I always have a choice to fight! And who are you to sit there and call me weak? What the hell would you know about me? What gives you the ri-" Alice glared and slapped her hand across Danni's face to silence her before turning to Alex/Lucas, "Darling indeed brother but not worth the mouth in my opinion."
