    ✝ ✝ ✝

There was a loud crack, much like thunder, but there had been no lightning previous to it. Instead, the sky only seemed to grow dark. Darker and darker it got, during the middle of the day. The Americans looked to the sky, unsure what was going on. Nothing like this had ever happened before and it was making most of them nervous. What the fools did not seem to realize, was that the crack had not come from the sky. It had come from the ground. Somewhere in the United States of America, the ground began to split. A loud rumbling sounded from all over and the Earth seemed to shake in the surrounding area. Rays of light came forth from the ground as well as steam. Had this not been happening in the middle of nowhere, this might be quite frightening for Alfred F. Jones' followers. But that was just it...Alfred was unaware of what was happening. He, in fact, was nowhere to be found.

Lava was spitting from the rather large crack that had formed somewhere in the middle of Nevada. One could suppose it was coming from the core of the Earth, since the ground had split; however, it was not. The rumbling came to an abrupt stop and everything was silent. Everything was still. Until...

From out of the crack, a hand shot out and gripped the edge of the ground that had split. The arm almost appeared as if it belonged to a human, if not for the rather sharp, black nails that lined the fingertips. Slowly, the person...or thing that was climbing from the crack in the Earth, began to pull itself up. Another hand joined the first and the person emerged from the ground. They kept pulling and crawling...until they laid still on the warm Earth. This was Nevada, after all. The clouds seemed to clear once whatever it was, was out of the ground. The ground sealed itself, and everything went back to normal. No. Nothing would be normal after what had just occurred.

This...was no human. The creature remained still a moment longer, their stomach touching the Earth. A few seconds more before their eyes shot open, being an array of colors. Slowly, their head raised and they glanced around with their new set of eyes. Glasses were no longer necessary. To any educated person, they could recognize this person as Alfred F. Jones. Ah, this would explain his disappearance...however, he was no longer himself. In fact, his mind had nearly been erased, save for a few details. Those details were what separated his foes, from his friends. His mind was like that of a robot's. "Protect only four..." He would think as he got to his feet and stretched the rather large, black wings on his back. "Protect only four..." He took his first step in his new form and a maniacal smile spread across his lips. He already felt so much more powerful in this form, but of course, he didn't know he had possessed a human life previous to this one. He was thinking this was his first visit to Earth.

"Protect only four..." Only they were his allies. The rest were enemies to him. The rest, would suffer beneath his new power. With a confident stride, he began to walk across the desert floor. After a few more steps, he would stretch his wings once more and push off the ground. Soaring into the air at incredible speed, he almost resembled a Superhero...but Alfred would no longer be a Hero. He was a monster now and he had been programmed to destroy. Lifting into the air, he brought his hands a few inches apart and ball of fire began to form within the space. He began to laugh because of what he was going to do, the ball becoming larger and larger until he stopped in mid-air, hovering feet above the ground now. "Welcome to Hell," He purred just as he released the fireball to the Earth. When the ball hit the ground, the following events were much like that of when a comet struck something. The ground shook once more and everything in its path was destroyed.

Two more fireballs and he was finished with this area. His wings steered him towards the nearest city in Nevada and he smiled, revealing two pointed teeth, much like a vampire would possess. He knew everyone was already worried about what had happened upon his arrival. In fact, it was already being broad-casted across the world. He tilted his head at the sighting of a news van and a feeling of destruction blossomed within them. He needed to kill...he needed to feel powerful. Growling low within his throat, he flew straight into the air, made a loop in the air and then came straight for the van. The wind whistled past at him at the speed he was going, everything a blur around him save for the van.

His body crashed into it, causing the Americans within to scream. The driver slammed the breaks, causing the van to screech and begin to slow. The demon upon the van scooped his arm down and linked his nails into the metal roof causing the woman within to cry out. He then proceeded to rip the roof completely off the van. They cried out at the sight of him, but he could only smile. "Morning..." He greeted the woman staring directly into his eyes before he grabbed her around the waist. Into the air he took her, ignoring her screaming. She latched onto him for dear life, knowing it would be foolish to try and break free. She would just fall to her death...

But that's what Alfred had planned anyway.

    ✝ ✝ ✝

Four hours had passed. Four states had been attacked. Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. The demon that had done the damage was perched on top of a building in Texas, feet dangling casually off the side. He acted as though this were normal...like this was meant to be, when truly, he was not in his right mind. The real Alfred F. Jones would have fallen to his knees by now...would have begged that his country stop being attacked, but this version of himself...had consumed the overly-confident Hero. Now, he was only an overly-confident Destroyer. He wanted to watch this place burn, and the world would follow.

First though, he needed to approach the rest of his allies, the only people he was programmed to remember as he was dragged into the Underworld. He chuckled, knowing his image would be all over the world now. People would recognize who he was - friends and foes would see what had become of him, but he didn't care. He wasn't someone that was born to remain in the shadows. He was born to be an icon - a symbol; however, his image's meaning had changed after the Underworld had gotten to him. Little did he know, that he had been tortured there before becoming who he was now. The human part of him was left behind, to fade away in Hell...

"Come to me," He sang to seemingly no one, but it literally had been a calling. He was wanting his allies to come for him. He imagined that they would be terrified with what he has done, but he would explain sooner or later. His need for destruction was inevitable, but what was left, could become their new world. They would rule...and they would destroy anything in their path. He dared the Germans to rise against him...dared the Japanese to send their bombers. He dared them.

Slipping off the building, he allowed himself to free fall before catching a current of wind and towards a place that was only left as an image in his mind. It was a meeting room, where he and his allies privately met.

Not long after his arrival, he walked the quiet halls and stopped when he saw a picture hanging on the all in the hallway. He narrowed his eyes, examining the people within it. There, the people he was assigned to protect stared back at him. A Brit, a Frenchman, a Chinese man, and a Russian. With sharpened nails, he drug them across the one man that stood in the middle. He drug them across his own image...not even realizing that he had crossed himself out of the picture. He only saw it as a nuisance blond, who deserved to die with the rest of the world. Well, most of the world.

He continued to observe the other images in this place. There was a much happier one of the same blond standing alone with the Brit. They seemed happy together...like they were important to one another, but the happiness did not stop the demon from punching his fist through the frame. The glass split and fell to tiny pieces, leaving a damaged picture behind. Once again, only one of the blonds remained destroyed. The demon proceeded to step towards the large table in the center of the room, taking a seat upon the table to await the arrival of his allies. Or anyone, for that matter. This was only one of the spots they met in, but enemies have come here before, so people knew of its existence.

He wondered who would be the first brave soul to approach him?

The meeting room had been used just recently for a meeting on the subject on Alfred F. Jones turning into a demon after coming back from Hell. US States assembled there and other nations, there to discuss the issue. A decision was not made at the meeting and was dismissed. The youngest state, Hawaii, had attended the meeting with her other fellow states. As Alfred had been waiting in the meeting room for the 4 others to appear, the young state had finished some work in the meeting room and was in the restroom down the hall, getting ready to leave. Suddenly she noticed that she had left an important folder on the table of the conference table. Upon entering the meeting room she found that a figure was sitting in one of the seats with big wings with glass shards by where he was sitting from a broken picture frame.

"Whose there?"she asked in a stern yet curious voice.

She squinted to see who it was, but soon gasped as she figured who it was, her father, Alfred. She was shivering from not much out of fear of seeing him, but from joy of seeing that he was okay and that it was really him. It almost brought her to tears. Her emotions mixed with fear, joy, sadness and also revenge.

"I-it can't be....D-Dad?" she said in a shocked but hopeful voice.

The demon turned his head upon hearing another approach. A single brow rose in confusion as to why this girl appeared, instead of another nation or ally. A sickening, maniacal smile spread across his lips as he thought about what fun he could have with her. He had already killed so many today, but one more wasn't going to hurt anything...

"Father, you say?" He asked, crossing one of his legs over the other and leaning back into the chair he rested in. His head was balanced in the palm of his hand as he leaned against it. "I don't recall ever possessing a child. You must have me mistaken for someone else," He purred. His eyes raked over her smaller form, noting that she wasn't very old. She was indeed young and that almost made him hesitant to approach her, but why would a demon care how old a human was? They were all the same. Weak and ready to be slaughtered.

Standing from his chair, he began to make a slow movement toward her, a dark look blossoming within his eyes. "Tell me, where are the other allies? Do they know of my existence yet?" He asked her, his tone serious and intimidating while he approached her in such a creepy way. Once close enough, and without warning, he shoved her to the wall. It only took one hand to do so and it was keeping her pinned there. "I suggest you answer with the truth."

NOTE: I was really tired when writing this reply so if replies don't make sense then, please just, deal with it. thanks for understanding.

Shocked from hearing him doubt that he ever had a child, she looked with a bit of a shocked expression, but saw that he was wanting to hurt her. She noticed the hesitance that he had for a second, she made an attempt to say something. To then be cut off by his question about his fellow companions. She then felt herself pinned to the wall by him suddenly.

    "eh? Gya-"

Choking and struggling for her escape and some air, she tried to resist his strength. She then heard his question, making her stop struggling for escape. She thought that he wanted to kill the other 4 allies. Hawaii was one of the states that had something special to her, she cared very much for people and friends. Although, being a former nation herself, this gave her a bit of a advantage, compared to the other states, she couldn't die. This reason made it her advantage of protecting her family, friends and nations that she cared very dear for. She smirked at him as he told her to tell the truth. She then gave a little bit of a evil laugh.

"Hehehe....Hahahahaha ..what makes you think I'll tell you the truth that easlily?" she said to the demon as he tried to interrogate her.

Ughhhh....I sincerely apologize for my reply. It's lacking in entertainment. And skill. And everything needed to make it awesome. Sorry. I don't even know if I'm following the plot correctly. -facedesked and begged for forgiveness- I didn't check for mistakes either...

After the fledgling demon's dynamic entry, a rift connected from the Underworld to Earth, had split open above the charred ground. A silver-haired figure of a man, or what appeared to be a man, stepped out of the rift...a silent and inconspicious entry, befitting of his role here. Another demon had been dispatched from the Underworld to look out for Alfred's safety, but by the look of things, the newbie really could manage on his own. Alfred's dazzling cameo had reminded him of his own..."transformation". Perhaps not as glamorous or spectacular...but the memory of his fall was still all too clear in his mind, practically burned into his retinas.

Defiance and banishment. Quick and easy. Before he knew it, he was stripped of his angelic status and condemned to an eternity of pain and suffering. Even his memory of life within the Kingdom had been wiped away, all traces of happiness and peace erased...

He scowled angirly at the memory, his arrow-tipped tail twitching in agitation. He glared up into the clear, endless sky, as if searching for those signature pearly gates. He spat onto the ground in disgust and outstretched his bat-like wings, the sunlight nearly shining through its translucent membrane. In a flash, he took off into the air, kicking up a cloud of black ash in his departure. He followed Alfred's trail of destruction as a reliable guide to his location. Crazy kid! You're enjoying this way too much... A wry smile made its way across his lips, exposing his sharpened fangs as he sped eagerly toward's Alfred's direction.

    ۩ ۞ ۩ ۞ ۩
The older demon stood solemnly in front of the entrance to the building he was certain Alfred was in. The male had specific instructions to, under any circumstances, never reveal his true persona. Under orders, he was to take on a human-like appearance, but he reasoned that if the time came, he would break his disguise. Common sense told him (more like screamed) that flying straight into Alfred's location would immediately give him away, so he settled for riding the elevator to the room. Primitive human technology. How could they have possibly survived this long? Once inside, he set to work in transforming his image. With a snap of his fingers, the curved goat-like horns shrunk into his skull, his wings and tail also retracting back under his skin. The animalistic fangs and claws lost their point, filing into their "normal" shape. As for his so called clothing, the scandalous leather material quickly shaped into a professional suit, and just in time too! The elevator reached its appointed floor, the 'ding' resounding in the empty hallway announcing his arrival. On his way towards the room doors, he stopped to check his reflection in the window. He adjusted his tie with a confident smirk, admiring himself until he noticed his dull and lifeless red eyes. Souless. Dead. Something he could never be able to change. Damn...I hope he doesn't notice...

[color=black][color=white]After one more look, he turned on his heel and continued down the hallway. Something caught his attention and he paused once more, discovering a broken picture. He surveyed it with a puzzled expression, but the battered condition hinted that the male was on the right floor. Once again, he made his way over to the end of the hallway and opened the doors of what appeared to be a meeting room. He was surprised to find Alfred already attacking yet another victim. Pretending as if he didn't pick up that the young woman was in danger, he cleared his throat loudly to gain both their attention. A cheerful smile, meant to deceive of course, had long replaced his mischevious grin from before. He spoke in a bright manner, attempting to diffuse the already tense situation. "Already getting acquianted, are we? Good!" He avoided making eye-contact with Alfred, for fear he might discover what he really was, and instead, stared intently at the young female that was obviously being strangled. His voice took an alarming change when he addressed Alfred in a much more intimidating manner, but still retained his cheery smile. "Why don't you take a seat, sir. If you act too rashly, your questions will continue to have no answers." He chuckled softly to himself before settling down comfortabley into a nearby chair and crossed one leg over the other. He placed his hands in his lap and twiddled his thumbs, attempting to appear as innocent and clueless as possible. That's it Gilbert...just be as stupid and oblivious as a human....

About an hour ago, there was a meeting about the mysterious disappearance of Alfred f. Jones and the misfortune his states encountered. From what she was able to digest, people claimed to have seen a monster who resembled the missing American quite a lot. Apparently, he had wings and was able to fly and that he was the source for the destruction of a few of America's states. What was even stranger, was that they claimed that the demon really was Alfred.

    Wait a secound.

Hungary and America had grown quite close lately and from what she had noticed was that the description of "monster America" did not match the man at all.
She could still remember the ragging countries.

"Bulshit!", a nation cried, bumping his fist to the table. "That can't be true!", another one cried, raising from its seat. "I refuse to believe such nonsense!", another said.

Elizaveta also denied the theory together with most of the nations and cities. She believe that someone was mocking the American. Why would he self-destruct? It didn't make any sense! Besides, monsters did not exist... or did they?

    Hungary refused to go home...
She sat outside the building at the top of the stairs with her elbows resting upon her knees and her chin in her hands. She was the only nation left at the building until one of America's 50 states returned. She nodded in her direction without bothering to salute or ask why she returned. It was none of her business after all.

Little did she know that a demon was in that area as well. Hell, make that two.

A dark figure blocked the sun hence engulfing Hungary in shadow that lasted for less than a moment. But she did not pay attention to it... though the theories of a flying man did occur in her mind.

She sat there for a few more moments, until she thought of something. Hey, why not find out what Hawaii's opinion on the silly theories was? She was sure that America's kid would agree with her, so she placed a hand behind her to help herself get up and turned around to walk inside the building.

Oh, if only she waited a bit more outside, her opinion would had certainly changed...
She paced inside the building and looked around for the younger girl, but she was nowhere to be seen. She walked toward a different hallway to check it out...

It was all about the timing, something that Prussia and Hungary did not have. She returned to the lobby. Hawaii must have probably been up at the meeting room. The elevator was already going up and stopped at the floor where the room was. That must have been Ayaka who called it, but the elevator stopped and did not come down. "Hmm..."
She pushed the button to call it down and as soon as the doors opened, she stepped inside and selected the floor she desired.

The temperature and air changed once she reached her destination. It was... odd. She had suddenly gotten the feeling that she should turn around and run away.
But of course, she did not do that even though with each step closer to the council room the voice in her head screamed at her to run home.

The shards glinting in the sunlight captured her attention. It made her stop in her track and examine the room... Just what on Earth happened? Did Ayaka have a nervous breakdown? Whatever happened, she wanted to check it out. Her pace quickened as she headed for the doors and her eyes widened when she saw someone enter the room... His hair was white and there was only one who had such a hairstyle. "Prussia? Prussia!", she cried his name, but it looked like he did not hear her... or decided to ignore her. Either way, she continued to run.

She was lightly panting when she arrived and her hands were shivering on the doorknobs. Twisting them, the door made a loud clicking noise as it unlocked and as the doors were pushed open, the room revealed something.... terrifying.

Elizaveta was frozen. She could not believe her eyes that the rumours were true...

Before the demon could respond to the Hawaiian, the Prussian had entered. Upon his entrance, the demon's head snapped toward his direction and the multi-colored eyes narrowed in suspicion. The real Alfred would have recognized this man in an instant, but this Alfred, could not. That's not to say he didn't find him interesting. His hair was colored silver and he possessed crimson eyes, a unique quality in someone who wasn't a monster. Smirking, the demon released his hold on the girl and he watched the Prussian enter the room further to take his seat. The order he was given made his eye twitch, for he did not take orders...but perhaps this man was right. Humans based their actions around cooperation, right? So, the demon supposed he would need to follow that. Stepping towards the table, he came towards the Prussian without any hesitation. With little space between them, the demon slammed his hand down to the table and leaned in slowly. His face got extremely close to the Prussian's and while they were this close, the multi-colored eyes searched the human's face for any signs that he may be hiding something. How could the demon be sure this was a human? The red eyes...they gave him too much suspicion.

The demon inhaled his scent, irritated that the human was standing in here. If this man was a demon, he wouldn't be able to smell it because of the girl's scent. But what the demon didn't realize, was that another human was in this building helping to mask the scent of this other monster. Growling low in his throat, he leaned away from the Prussian and glanced over his shoulder just as another female entered. Upon seeing her, the demon's expression faltered. His eyes widened just slightly, feeling an annoying urge to be near her. "Get out..." He almost immediately ordered, hating the way she made the atmosphere feel. He cared not that she was surprised to see this other man, or that she was terrified of him.

    He. Wanted. Her. Out.

He turned back to the Prussian, giving him a serious look. "Get her out...and I mean it." He growled. He figured these humans would try to tell him that she meant no harm. That she would sit at the table and behave herself, but for some reason...he was feeling vulnerable in her presence, like he might do anything she ask of him.

    - Sweet Sacrifice [Originally: To The Underworld We Go] - Angelvia

The Kingdom was in chaos. Angels were flying around all over like it was the coming of the apocalypse and the news of a demonic uprising had spread through the legions like wildfire. The Higher Ups were holding council on how to deal with situation worsening down in the Earthen Realm. Things were no longer peaceful for the many inhabitants of the heavenly world, which caused an unfortunate amount of distrust to raise in one angel's favor.

Unlike her fellows, who had all achieved their complete angelic status, Viorica Dumitru was very displaced among the sea of white and gold that was her everyday. When she had lived among the humans, she had once been a powerful nation, but one who was born into a life corrupted by darkness. Never given the choice to live as a human being, she had made her living as a young vampire, fond of blood and destined for hell. As such, she had been passed onto the Underworld without a fair judgement, awakening the true demonic nature that had been hidden within her soul since the day she came to be. But the Higher Ups of the Kingdom had viewed her entire life and declared that she had never truly committed any sins without regret for her actions. So when the day came that she was released from the Underworld, they sent several soldiers after her on a mission to perform a sort of purifying ceremony only used for rare cases such as hers.

Her memories that had been erased were restored in this ritual, allowing her to come to her senses once more. Her demonic features were thus dissolved as well, leaving her with the appearance of a tainted angel. Never before had such a being been created as her; an angel with a halo of thin, radiant flames and feathered white wings with a slight flame colored tinge. And as if to make it more obvious, extra precautions were set to prevent the chance that her purification might fail. Seals of Higher Ups in the form of small thorn wrappings, around her wrists and ankles, and chain clasps around one opposite arm and leg distinguished her from her peers. Although, very few actually trusted the former demon, seeing her as nothing but a threat. There was nothing the girl wanted more than to prove herself to the ones who doubted her. It was in the council of the Higher Ups that they decided to give the girl her chance. What better opportunity to prove oneself than to exterminate one's former allies in a fight for her new loyalties?

Thus, a rift was opened through the dark clouds so that a ray of sunlight could allow the tainted angel passage to the human world. She passed through without opposition, stretching her feathered wings out to either side with a sigh. It had been so long since she'd set foot in such a place. It stirred memories of both happiness and pain, turning her back to her current mission. With a strong downward thrust of her wings, she sped off through the air, following the trail of demonic aura that she recognized so well.

As she approached the building that held the nations' meeting room, a sort of disgust brewed deep in the angel's heart. It was only natural of course, but she still didn't like it. She had concealed her angelic properties before entering, hoping not to startle the demon...or was it demons, inside. Her steps were light and silent, hiding her presence as she walked up to the room, peering inside to see what was going on.

The scene before her came as a shock. There were two male demons and two female humans, but on top of that, the two demons and the Hungarian female were bound to recognize her face the moment she stepped inside. But she couldn't let that innocent Hawaiian suffer... It was what she had to do; step in and save the girl. The only question was how. She couldn't afford to be killed off so early in her mission...a distraction perhaps? If she was given even a second, she would spring forth to make her move. She was sure the two girls would take care and escape with one another, if she could just draw the demons away.

She wondered if the American and the Prussian would remember her from the Underworld, besides, it wasn't everyday demons got the opportunity to switch sides. The rumors must have spread, so how would they react when she walked in..? It was time she found out. Pushing the door open slowly, the angel took the few delicate steps necessary to enter the room, a grin on her face as she addressed the demons, her ever-changing colored eyes making contact with each of theirs in turn.

"Well, well... Alfred, Gilbert! Fancy seeing you two back here! It's been awhile..."

Just as the "person" had entered the room and somewhat almost commanded him to let the girl go, she was soon released from the demon's choke hold and fell to the ground, coughing as she tried to breath in for air. It was then that she noticed that another nation had entered, Elizaveta. She noticed that she was shocked but she tried to tell her to leave before she was hurt. But knowing her, she was one not to in this situation. The young state then looked toward the other two, and noticed that the demon showed a bit of annoyance...yet...hesitation towards Elizaveta. The Demon Alfred, proved here theory as he ordered the other man to take her out of the room. Suddenly she saw that another person had entered, she had never seen this woman before.(since she was born way after) The young state, tried to tell her as well, but was then surprised to see that she knew the two other men in the room. This leaved her speechless as she tried to lean her back against the wall for support.

Satisfied with the other's cooperation, he relaxed visibly into his seat. He opened his mouth to say more but sensing another being, he turned around in his chair to look at the meeting room door expectantly. As if on cue, another female entered the room, obviously stunned beyond words. Before the male had a chance to address and greet her, Alfred had ordered her removal. The male shifted slightly and turned in the other's direction, but looked down at the table. He stood up obediantly, understanding the effect she had on him. He could feel it as well...maybe not as strongly as Alfred but...at any rate, he wanted her out as well. Her presence was detrimental to the mission.

Gilbert smiled as sweetly as he could manage and approached the young female. He took her gently by her hand and led her towards the door. He placed his other hand on the small of her back, ushering her forward with more force than he realized. "My utmost apologies, young miss, but a dangerous place such as this is no place for a charming young woman, such as yourself." He turned back slightly to see the other female and smiled at her. "That goes for you as well, miss." But before he could even reach the door, he sensed yet another entity...but this...this was one that left a sickening aftertaste in his mouth and the pit of his blackened heart burn with rage. Immediately, he dropped Hungary's hand and jumped back to the edge of the table he had been sitting at. The kinder features that adorned his face morphed into an disgust and rage. When the angel had appeared in the mouth of the entrance, he had to grip the edge of the table behind him to prevent lundging at the girl. His eyes narrowed dangerously at her. Gilbert knew this girl...the demon who was given a second chance. The only demon he knew bestowed grace and redemption. A traitor. An outcast. No longer a demon but neither a full-fledged angel.

The male bit his tongue and smiled with as much happiness he could muster and returned her greeting. "A-Ah...hello, miss..." His tone of voice was polite, but when spoken through grit teeth, it about sounded as rude as it could get. Damn it!! What the hell's with all these people showing up?! His cold eyes were locked onto the angel's, daring her to try something funny.

Seeing as the young girl's guesses were correct so far, she wondered why they were all here and what connection they had with her father. One, the man with red eyes that seemed so daring to have made her demon father more controlled...in a way. Then there was the woman that had entered with such confidence in herself that she knew the two. The girl tried to process everything in her head but couldn't tell why and how for she didn't know the background stories to all of these people.

An airy giggle came from the angel as she took a few more steps into the room, her eyes now locked in challenge with the Prussian demon's. Thanks to her rare mix of powers, being so close to the two darker beings didn't affect her so much as it might one of her fellow guardians. She was able to move around the room freely without having to restrain herself like he did. Her grin morphed into a gentle smirk as she moved to the opposite end of the table, taking a leisurely seat on its edge, legs dangling freely just above the ground.

"No need to be so formal now... I've come to talk with you, if you'll hear me out. Oh! And I'll be taking those two out with me when I leave." She smiled kindly to the two other females in the room. "But for now..." She waved her hand in a small arch toward them, causing both girls to fall asleep on the floor. It would be a nuisance if they had to witness the conversation between the three powerful entities in the room. Such otherworldly things were best kept secret from simpleminded humans.

She looked back toward the two demons once more.
"..this is a better arrangement, don't you think?" There was a sort of added peppiness to the outcast's voice that she knew would make the demons sick with rage.

    ✝✝✝

Alfred kept his eyes upon the Hungarian woman the entire time the Prussian attempted to get her out. He was glaring at her and remained highly agitated that she was in the same room as him. He wished he knew why he was reacting to her this way, but alas, he had not even one clue as to why that could be. But just as he thought both human girls were going to be removed from the building, he felt the same presence the other demon did. His body began to tremble in the same rage the Prussian was feeling as he realized an angel had entered this damned building. Her presence was unlike that of a demon's. The Prussian was able to mask his identity, but this angel could not. Her aura was far too great to be concealed by human qualities and as she approached, the demon's hand balled into a fist, his nails digging into his own flesh. He didn't want her here - he didn't want any of them here, save for the Prussian. So far, the Prussian was the only connection he had to the other allies.

When the angel stepped into the frame of the door, a low growl erupted from the demon's chest. His multi-colored eyes narrowed at her and he was being controlled by the same hatred the Prussian was feeling for her. She was nothing but a traitor. She would only stand in his way...and somehow, he just knew she had come in hopes of protecting the people who would be surrounded by him. HA! He nearly wanted to laugh out loud. She was a fool to think she could protect the people from him. He would bring her to her knees...he would rip those beautiful, pearl white wings from her body...and he would make her watch as he killed off the people she had been sent to protect. A sudden need to have those events unfold blossomed within his chest and his hand clenched tighter. He needed to resist his urges to kill.

The demon suddenly cast a suspicious look towards the Prussian again, realizing the way he was reacting was very much the same as he did. He had to be hiding something...something was masking his true identity, wasn't it? The angel seemed to know more than him about it, and that pissed him off. Eyes flickering back to the angel, the demon growled again as she began to speak. "I don't have time to waste on you!" He spat. There it was again...the need to kill. "Get out of my sight." He hissed.

My comment reply sucks... I don't have time for editing right now.

    ❄❄❄
Meanwhile deep within another territory, a certain Russian male was staring vacantly at his T.V screen. His drooping, unblinking irises were fixed blankly on the screen, yet his mind was anywhere except for that stupid flickering box.

The disappearance of China, his good friend and closest ally, had shocked the nerves right out of the Russian. He could never imagine going through life without seeing Yao… that Chinese man had always granted him comfort in the most odd ways. Suspicions grew as Prussia vanished, but then tensions burst as England proved missing shortly after that. Everyone was blaming the other, and different opinions made things all the more confusing.

Russia had been aiding the searches with his own professional scouts, but he was careful to not allow anyone else the knowledge of his family’s whereabouts. However, upon the kidnapping of his best friend and enemy, America, Russia had fully closed himself off to all other countries, even his other allies. Sure, the silver-haired Soviet helped the others in their times of need and still aided in protection and searches, but he himself always kept a good distance from the other countries.

In troubling times, it had proven useful to trust no one, not even those you thought of friends.

But now over half of his friends were missing. Just... vanished into thin air. The thought that any one of his remaining friends could vanish next was beginning to unnerve the steel-minded Russian. It has come to the extent where he never let his Baltics out of the house without the company of himself and a nice little AK-47. Even if it were in his secure, wintery lands, it was better to be safe than sorry, da?

The very AK-47 gun was resting beside him at this very moment. Ivan continued to stare blankly at the screen through half-lidded eyes, when suddenly, they shot open as a news flash burst across the screen. Ivan nearly jumped out of his chair from what he saw.

A video recording of a black-winged demon colliding in with a white van. Blood was everywhere... screaming rang out in the background... wreckage littered the streets behind the van..

But the mere monster wasn't the one that caught Ivan's attention, but it's facial features.

    America?!

Ivan stared at the screen, far too shocked to do anything else. No one could mistake those distinguishing American features. The Soviet’s mind raced: there had been old tales and legends of these events in his own lands, but he never really paid attention to them until now.

    "
Bozhe moĭ…” He murmured under his breath. .

Ivan shot up and grabbed for his AK-47. After slinging it and a sniper's rifle onto his back, the Russian ran to his room and pulled out his belts of combat; grenades..knives...hand guns...they were all slung in specified slots in the leather belts.

After adjusting his scarf and snatching his heavy metal water pipe, the Russian dashed out of the door and just ran... ran to America's homelands. He had no idea what he was going to do. Surely he wasn't going to just kill his friend, but just one thing was on his mind...

How the hell did this all happen?

    What would be the outcome?

Hungary's breath got caught in her throat. The man who looked like Alfred... no, that monster ordered her to get out. It was something she wanted to do, but unfortunately her pride did not allow her."What-..?", she gasped, her voice barely audible. The woman's sapphire green orbs were wide open and mouth formed a small 'o'. Upon hearing his second order, her body twitched back a bit. What was the reason why she wanted to come here...? Why was she here? The shock made her forget that Ayaka was also in the room. She was nowhere in sight, and quite frankly, Eliza refused to make eye contact with anyone or anything else. Her eyes were locked with the demon's eyes. That was not Alfred. Well... that was not her Alfred.

A small scowl formed on her forehead upon watching the albino approach her. Those ruby orbs showed that he was not her Prussian either. Gilbert had never flashed her such a smile before. Goodness... had they been brainwashed? Eliza took a small step back once Gilbert was close enough, but she did not expect him to grab her hand. "Don't!", she said under her breath. She tried to fight to get out of his grip, but it was already too late. She lost her balance and stumbled over her own feet from the push hence causing her to fall on some shards. "Ah-hmngh..!", she cried quietly in pain. She did not hit the ground, for she landed on her knees and hands, but that cost her for about three shards cut in the palm of her hands. It stung... she had to suppress a cry of pain by biting her bottom lip. Hungary leaned on her right elbow carefully not to get cut again. There were at least three cuts and her palms were coated in blood.

Her gaze returned from her hands to the new intruder... She knew that voice and her heart filled with joy. "Viorica", her lips motioned her name, but no sound came out.

Her eyelids suddenly felt heavy. She fought to stay awake, but she failed for her eyes closed and her body fell limply on the ground.

"Sorry~ But I don't see any reason why I should be taking orders from some newbie demon like you." The angel smirked, crossing her left leg over her right, her hands behind her as support.

"And I suggest you listen closely. Otherwise, I have no reason to refrain from disposing of you at this very moment."

She let out a short sigh, taking a second to think. Because of her mix-matched nature, she typically got sent out to do the dirtiest jobs around. Whether it was extermination, exorcisms, banishment... Out of all the heavenly beings she was the closest they were going to get to a true demon. She'd become so used to all the killing that it no longer phased her, and demons had a hard time trying to scare her off. She knew how they saw her. Being marked a traitor sure made her cruel job easier.

How she wanted to release her true form at that moment, both to mock the demons and to stretch out her wings. Keeping them concealed along with a portion of her aura was such a hassle. But she refrained and rested her chin in her right hand, causing the chain clasp on her upper arm to make a quiet metallic 'ping' as she did so. She frowned slightly in boredom as she explained.

"You've caused a serious uprising. You're not the only demons on this side anymore...but part of me suspects you know that already. It's impressive really...you've set the entire Kingdom into a state of chaos. So congrats for turning heaven into a living hell. Heh... Pretty ironic, don't you think? Anyways, I have to deal with it and I don't feel like doing more killing than necessary. So why don't you drag your little demon asses back to the Underworld you came from and we'll call it a day, hm~?"

Her smirk grew with her last statement as she watched for their reactions, knowing they wouldn't be pleasant ones.

As the three others were around the conference trying to see what would happen between them. The young state, had the chance to awake from the angel's trance sleep. She saw that Elizaveta was bleeding on her palms from glass as she laid sleeping from the trance. She crawled to her to pull her to the side with her to heal her wound with the strength she had left before the trance overpowered her. She extracted the glass shards from her palm and healed it with a soft glow from her hand. The injury slowly healed, as the young state kept quiet concentrating on healing.

Ivan, your reply is perfectly fine.

    ۩ ۞ ۩ ۞ ۩
The angel's whimsical voice was enough to make his blood boil. She was mocking him, wasn't she? The silver-haired demon bore his teeth which were slowly sharpening to a point while an animalistic growl bubbled forth from his throat. It took all his will power from exploding into a fit of rage and tearing the angel apart, limb from limb. He was beginning to grip the table so roughly that it began to split and crack from the pressure.
Realizing that he was losing his composure and risked giving himself away (as if it weren't obvious as is), he turned away from the angel and paced up to the wall behind him. He faced the wall, shutting his eyes tightly and took deep breaths to calm himself. Once regaining his self-control, he turned around with an all-too-cheerful smile and situated himself into a chair directly across from the angel. He had to keep a cool and level head. He couldn't jeopardize Alfred's mission by losing himself...nor could he allow the angel to continue to refer to him as a demon. She was giving away too much and Alfred must never know...

"My dear, I have...no idea what you're talking about. Demons? Plural? The only demon I see is this young gentelman here." He made a gesture with his hand in Alfred's direction. He then turned his head to peer over at the demon, and for the first time, meeting the other's eyes with his own. "You'll have your fun eventually. Why don't you take a seat next to me and practice some breathing exercises, hm?" He patted the chair next to him before crossing his legs once more and placing his hands in his lap. His sickly-sweet smile had disappeared and he now spoke to the angel in a serious tone that covered his underlying threats. "With that abrasive personality of yours, you won't be convincing anyone to do anything, miss." His defiant eyes met Viorica's once again. "This man, Alfred...was it?...isn't going anywhere, I assure you. Leave while you can, miss."

The male had already begun to suspect that Alfred was suspicious of him, untrusting. He had to do something that would convince that he was just a regular human. He had to act scared. He had to act weak. Defenseless. Just like a human...

"W-what I mean is...you may threaten me all you like, you can even scare me off! But...but Alfred here's a killing machine! It's futile to deny the fate of humanity now."
For an added touch, he looked about the room anxiously, as if his previous act of confidence was just purely bravado and his real, more timid personality was leaking through.

    ✝✝✝

The demon's eyes shifted from the Prussian, to the angel, and then back to the Prussian. He still appeared very upset and very uncomfortable with who had shown up, instead of any of his allies. His allies didn't realize how important they were for his mission. If any of them were to get hurt...or were to die, he would most likely be called back to the Underworld, and he simply could not afford that. Although, he was getting extremely pissed off that this angel was claiming she could handle him. "I wish she would try something..." He thought to himself, before turning his attention back to the Prussian. Again, knowing that it was best to play this the human way, he moved around the table and took his seat next to him. The demon had smirked at the "human's" words, trusting that he was telling the truth...even though there were so many facts already screaming that this guy was definitely not human.

While beside the Prussian, he suddenly grabbed the collar of his shirt and jerked him closer, the demon's lips dangerously close to his ear. "If I find out that you have been lying to me this entire time, I will have your heart. I know for a fact one of my allies would love to see it in a jar. So, are we clear?" He whispered. He then shoved him away and leaned back comfortably in his chair.

The demon's eyes flickered to the Hawaiian, seeing that she was healing the Hungarian. "You. Girl," He snapped. His eyes quickly flickered to the angel though, and he said, "If you want to keep them safe, then get them out of here. Make the Hawaiian find the other allies." He ordered, the look in his eyes daring her to argue.

Giving a little gasp, from the sudden notice from the demon Alfred, she tried to ignore his yelling command. She was almost done with her procedure of healing Elizaveta and didn't want either of the other three to move any closer to the two. The state wasn't afraid and ignored the demon's shouting commands as she continued to heal her.

Stay calm, you gotta concentrate and keep going before it's too late. she thought to herself to keep her distracted from the yelling.

The angel's eyes shifted back and forth from the two males. She was quite surprised they'd come so close to her, especially the Prussian.

Now why would he be hiding...

She wondered as she watched his futile attempt to appear human. He saw her as a threat to his plans, and she knew it. She leaned down closer to him, turning around to sit cross-legged atop the table. They were nearly eye to eye as she spoke in a harsh whisper.

"Don't play games with me Gilbert~ I'll find out what you're planning... As for the fate of humanity.. She smiled with a cocky sweetness and grasped his chin lightly in her hand, tilting his eyes up towards her. It was an action she couldn't believe she was risking herself...Touching him...at such close quarters.. "I beg to differ. I would be watching that little demon if I were you...Just a bit of advice~"

She then turned her shimmering irises to the demon giving orders. His daring gaze only amused her. She replied with a challenging smirk. "I'll be getting them out of here regardless~ But I don't think I feel like helping her find your allies at all. And I won't. You see, it would make my mission harder if I did."

As she stared down the demon, her expression quickly became more hostile. The materialized point of a dagger rested upon his throat. She planned on making a point. "If you lay another hand...on either one of these girls... I will see to it that your existence is destroyed by my very hands." There was a slight hiss in her voice, an echo of her demonic past, as she reluctantly recalled the form of her dagger, her glare unchanging.

    ❄❄❄

Ivan just stood, staring at the pillaged city. His signature vacant smile was visible on his lips, yet his very being was far from content.

Everything was in chaos...: Wreckage and bodies littered the bustling streets... sirens from emergency vehicles screamed in every given direction, all rushing to aid those who fell victim to the monster’s attacks.. It was as though all hell was unleashed on the American's lands.

Russia was not yet aware of the irony of that situation.

He found it rather difficult to believe that it was Alfred to caused all this… Alfred! That cocky, proud bastard who always claimed himself as a hero, yet wet himself at the very mention of monsters of ghosts. Were demons like rats? Rats in the sense that if you find one, then chases are you have thousands more running somewhere in the shadows.

A corner of Ivan’s lips curled upward ever so slightly in a thin, eerie smirk at the thought. If that were true, then there were monsters out there that posed a threat to his household…and anything that posed a threat was something that needed to be put out of its misery.

His first thoughts were to catch a taxi and drive toward the council hall, yet upon taking in the choking amount of traffic, Ivan decided it would be faster to just walk there.

Ivan strode casually toward the American meeting hall. That was located in Texas, right? Not too far…

He was still a little bit out of breath from running all the way here, and his back hurt. Ever since he broke his back while jumping out of that jet plane without protection, his back had been weaker than he would have liked it to be. The rifle slung over his back did nothing to help it when it bounced as he ran.

Something suddenly squirmed inside of him; what was going on? A sudden rush of false energy pulsed through his limbs, as if begging him to hurry up. Instinctively, Russia turned and sprinted in the direction toward the American's council hall.

He didn't care about the throbbing pain in his back anymore. He couldn't even tell the difference between the beats of his running feet and his racing heart.
After a countless times pace of running, the silver-haired Soviet catches the sight of the manor in the distance.

He halts suddenly; the air seemed to change. How odd…

The Russian could feel a dark change in atmosphere just by looking at the darkened building. Something was indeed lurking there....
He disliked the feeling of unease. It proved to be quite annoying.
With a faint sigh, Ivan began to make his way toward the American council room.

Seeing as that the woman was protecting her and Elizaveta, she soon finished healing Eliza's hand and then moved her so that she was away from the glass and to the side where, we weren't out of sight but at a "safe" distance. The state was tired from fighting the trance that the woman had placed on her earlier and also from healing Eliza's injury. She soon once again felt drowsy and tried to fight her sagging eyelids. Before being overcome by the trance, the young state said in her weak tired voice a small whisper,"Thank...You.." The trance soon overcame her and she then fell back to sleep.

The demon honestly couldn't believe this angel. Why did she insist on behaving like this? Did she have any idea what he was capable of? He cared not that she was a divine creature. He cared not that she was a woman. And he cared not that the Alfred previous to this new demon, would have never harmed her. As the dagger was directed at him, something snapped within him. He could no longer control himself. With a vicious snarl, he stood up, causing the chair he was sitting in to tip backwards. He smacked her hand away, causing the dagger to go flying from her hand before he grabbed her wrist tightly and twisted. He kept twisting too, enough for it to snap if he would go any further. He then jerked her closer to his form, hating the burning feeling that was engulfing him while touching and being so near to this divine creature. With them being just inches apart, he snarled in her face, flashing his demonic teeth at her. "I grow tired of your inability to cooperate with me. If you want to protect people, then go protect them. Do not stand in my way and in the way of what I was sent here to do!" He shouted in her face. He was breathing heavily, multi-colored eyes flashing with anger and hatred. This was so unlike the real Alfred, that it was frightening. Who knew Alfred could even be capable of doing this? Perhaps, it was withheld feelings the human Alfred refused to release, up until now. Whatever had made him so different, had done the job.

Without warning, he released her wrist and then grabbed her throat, black nails pinching her skin as he squeezed tightly. "Now I suggest you never point that fucking dagger at me again." He stated before shoving her away from him. It was enough force to throw her across the room. His body trembled with anger and he closed his eyes a moment, trying to calm himself. "Human..." He growled towards Prussia, placing his hand on he man's shoulder. He curled his fingers into the uniform he wore. "I need to kill..." He nearly whispered. He truly hated that he was being held back. The Prussian suggested that he remain calm and just wait for his allies, but how could he do that with these nuisance people showing up?

They say he came from Hell? No, dears, he was in Hell.

Slowly, he sat back down. He reopened his eyes and rested them upon the angel, who was recovering from his little outburst. He gave her a look of warning that the next time she yell at him, bark orders at him, or came near him...he was going to hurt her. At the same time, there was also a challenge in his eyes. As if he were also saying, "But later, when we're alone, come at me all you want. I'd like to get my hands on you."
